I Love My Country

224 years ago...on July 4th, 1776
This great nation, the United States of America,
In a struggle for what was right and free,
Was proudly born...
May we celebrate that precious freedom
For which our forbears fought so bravely...
The freedom that is inherent
In the Stars and Stripes, our revered flag...

This Fourth of July!

I love my Country!!

I have always felt that I was patriotic towards my country
During Desert Storm I lived on an Army Base in Washington state
I sat glued to the TV. So proud of our solders. Willing to go to war
To protect our country.
This year once again I sat glued to my tv as out Military was sent out to protect not only our freedom but also the freedom of the people of a different country. I'm so proud of our men and women in uniform!!
We did not see the world come together as we did during 911.
As a nation we knew it didn't matter, We had to help those people. We got support from a few countries and I'm so proud that they like us
were willing to stand up for a people that couldn't stand on thier own.
I'm not a writer or a poet but as I thought of doing this page
I wasen't sure how I would put my thoughts into words
I wanted to do this page because I love my country.
The year of Sept. 11 attack.
Not only did we see our country United, we saw the world
come to our aid.
The out pouring of love from so many different country's
Was so awsome!!. I saw it not only on TV but through the internet.
and not just a few, I think it would be hard for anyone to find a personal
web page without some mention of the attack, not just from Americans
People all over the world!!
I love my country, and I'm proud to be an American.
I also love my World. And the country's in it. I'm glad I lived to see the day
When so many countries put aside difference to help us!!
